Question

Help answer this question below.

I've noticed mostly through others pointing it out that a lot of our new movies are remakes of older movies!! Do you think this is a good thing or that they should leave the classics alone?

everything old is new again. there is nothing original under the sun. theres nothing wrong with updating a classic to make it fit the times. but the problem with hollywood now is that they don't even update things much. they seem to have no original ideas. they just take the old idea and reproduce it with no new spin.

im a film buff and i often recognize classic movies when they're remade into new hits. sometimes they're good. sometimes they're not. you'd be surprised how many films are recreations of older stories. but those stories are often recreations of even older myths and legends.
