Can you tell me how many critter cubes a day (approximately) gerbils and hamsters eat daily? I am tired of the waste when I change food every day.

You shouldn't be changing the food daily. Hamsters and gerbils are notorious hiders. If you only have a couple of them, the most you should be changing is once every three days or so. Reusing the cubes you find is also fine. Regardless of how much you feed, your little friends are going to store their food. Waiting to change or refill their bowls is ok. Filling their bowls, and then alternating days you change or refill it is not going to hurt your critter. Try the alternating food refill or change and see if this helps save on the food bill. Hope this helps and good luck.

It seems they have been eating about three critter cubes a day. There has been no left over and they are not begging. They let me know when they want food. Would still welcome other comments or answers though.
