Help answer this question below.
Yes, I was on the computer the other day and I hacked up a really good one on my computer.
No but I hacked down a wooden door!
Yes with a small hatchet.
Yep, many times. I work as a software developer and it's always fun to play tricks on the others in this way.
I once "hacked" into a computer that I owned...
I had bought an old server box from one of those recycle places, and it had Windows NT installed. I used the guest account to look at it and see if I wanted to use NT, and stumbled across some unencrypted tfiles with suspicious-looking contents.
Sure enough, one of the strings turned out to be the Administrator password. After looking at it I decided I wasn't interested in NT after all, and installed Slackware instead.
Yes, back in my younger days.
However, it had more to do with knowing the sysadmins than with any technical trickery. Tip - don't use your kid's name as a password ;)
Yes, security auditing is part of my job so theres no risk of criminal charges :)
No I have not.
Yes, many times. Always the same one though: mine.
I write (simple) C++ programs. And since a hacker is just another word for programmer...I've hacked my computer many times.
But I know what you mean. When I was younger I tried breaking through website restrictions at school. I was successful about 1% of the time, but that's more than can be said for anyone else in my classes.
Hacking is 9/10 taking advantage of stupid behavior, and 1/10 programming skills. I, however, have been cracked by demons among men who stole my life and ruined it, so I do everything in my power to try to learn about software so that it will not happen again, though even the most basic of things behind the shell give me migraines, as does anything beyond localhost.
Oh yeah, one time it wouldn't work and I took an axe and hacked it up good --- that PC never messed with me again after that!
:)
yes
only once, D@m thing crashed with an important assignment on it and i just lost it for a second.
Only my own.:)
:) Many times. Sometimes I go into another user and change it, but one time i guessed the password right off the bat. :D
yes i hacked my little brother using the administrator i changed his password using command promt lol it was so funny i made his password i eat socks :-)
I don't even know how. LOL
I have a piece of software that searches the startup files for windows usernames and passwords. I needed to use that on my own computer when I accidentally deleted my domain (and therefore couldn't log into my account, which was also deleted.)
haven't tryed,but i'll do it someday,so far,i have just got a Webshell,haha
No, but its fairly easy, if u know how to do it. The trick to that is to get a good and i mean a good Firewall. Firewalls can not stop every potential threat, they just help stop attacks that can seriously harm your computer. No security software is 100%. Remember that.
i tried using hamachi on my Gf's computer so i could browse her drives but unluckily i could only see her online but not browse her hard drive since i forgot to share it hehehe...
Sorry kids, guessing someones idiotically simple password is not hacking!
No. Its way too complicated for me;)
No
Yes~I got into someones account on Pogo.com and spent all their points on *raffle tickets* ~~I don't know if the person won the raffle or not~but its was not my finest
hacking job~
how do u do it?
Yes my long haired main coon hacked up a hairball on my PC lol
No. But I almost blew myself up along with one I was working on when i didn't ground myself before fiddling with the motherboard. ;p
Nope, that's sounding a bit illegal to me.
+5
Yep, almost qualified to do so, I'm almost finished the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker course alongside my other qualifications
If by hacking you mean gaining access to another's machine, check out http://www.hackthissite.org/
Lets just call it practice.
No, though I doubt I can. I would not do well in jail . . .
naw
