Anyone know the origin of the phrase "Good eatin', Maynard!" It is occasionally idiomatically used in the US to inform others that the food in question is, indeed, tasty, a favorite, or especially good.

    In 1983, there was a commercial for Malt-o-meal. It had a kid and a dad. The kid said the bear took his malt-o-meal, the dad read the ingredients and told the kid as an aside; "Good stuff Maynard". You can still watch the commercial on You tube. Here's the link:
