You might like to look at the condition called syaesthesia which is called "Union of the senses" some people see colours when they look at numbers or words.
Your daughter may have this and might mistake colours in the way you describe it.

You're reading My daughter is unable to describe color names when asked. If you ask her to point out the color (ex red flash card) she is able to. If you ask her what color the red flash card is she is unable. Occasionally she will label a color without being asked.
