He was rather withdrawn for some years- such a pity for such a talent and charisma- and his promoting seems to be quite poor these days. But his real fans are not just few, and if a dj plays his tunes on the radio or at parties, most people do recognize and enjoy them.

I was wondering why I haven't heard him on the radio or being played in shopping centres at this time of year, maybe I just missed the song. He was good back in the day but he disappeared from view for a long time.

Obviously...there are more of us that love Shaky than not, since he's kept going for years. So I'd say we're the majority! :-) Check out the tons and tons of songs by Shaky on YouTube. He done a little of something for everyone. Many styles and variety of music. He's very talented and versitile. Love you Shaky, as so many of us do!!

I don't think he is construed as "cool" enough to have his records played on the radio any more.
His music might be great, but it isn't just the music that sells the artist records these days.
