I can't imagine any finite misdeed that deserves an infinity of punishment. Even if, for instance, you say that a serial killer deserves 100,000 years of continuous punishment for each murder, that would only be a blip on the scale of eternity.
Cain and Judas are both said to be such.
And actually the scriptures use the lake of fire and brimstone as a metaphor for the degree of torment, not a literal description of it.
No, no one
Probably Celine Dion. She's caused all kinds of untold pain and torture just because the Canadians wanted to even the score on acid rain.
thou shall not judge. hell is chosen anyway.
No one really knows what hell is like. It has been described by people who have not been there as everything from flames to a frozen lake (Dante).
Hell is the state of complete and final self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed, reserved for those who refuse by their own free choice to believe and be converted from sin, even to the end of their lives
I like to think of it this way. The only way a person will go to hell is if they want to.
God in His (or Her) unlimited love has given us free will to choose. Our most important choice is to freely decide to accept or reject God's constant offer of spending eternity with Him in heaven. God will respect the choice to reject Him.

People that kill their own children!
Well since the bible doesn't teach eternal punishment then I'll say no. I guess Christians (since it's that group that has invented such nonsense) can list some folks that do if not all of us. I know they say the famous line: "It's not god doing it, you get what you always wanted." And other things!
yeah, Hitler, Hussein, etc..!!! but God has said all false prophets and false teachers of HIS WORD/TRUTH will recieve the same punishment as satan and his demons..so, thats HIS perogative...
Stalin, Hitler, some others.
I don't think there is fire and brimstone, but if there is, I'd say the only ones that deserve it are those who did everything to damn/send people there as soon as possible (presiders at witch trials, for instance).

You're reading Is there any human being that ever actually deserved the punishment of eternal torture by fire and brimstone?
