I have done this and it helped me. However, the water should be removed from the stove and should not be boiling. Put a large towel over your head so the steam doesn't escape and keep about 12 to 14 inches from the bowl. Don't make the water too hot, it will make your skin irritated.

I have been getting my daughter to do this every evening for the past three nights and her skin is looking fresher already. It also seems to soften the black heads and whiteheads. I put a few drops of lemon juice in the water too. You need to do it until your face is dripping because this is when the pores have opened and hopefully the bacteria will come out with the sweat and theheat will sterilise the skin. Do not go too close to the water or it may cause broken veins. I really have noticed a big difference in the freshness and the amount of blemishes just in 3 days. If her skin continues to improve I will drop it to every other day then sloy get it to once a week I hope. It is also a far cheaper and more natural way of cleansing your skin than potions and lotions :) Good luck.

I have done it before but it did not help me. It only made my skin feel more irritated and red. Everyone's skin is different though, so try it out and see if it works.
