  • My unprofessional answer/opinion is: Certainly there were short term weather changes around the earth for several years but they would have been temporary. Climate change is considered to be of much longer duration. Unfortunately Pliny the Elder and his contemporaries didn't have finely attenuated thermometers to refer to the way we do in the modern era. It would be interesting to have had someone record exact temperature reading and graph them out over several years. IMHO if there was any climate change at all, it would have been slight and the global climate would have returned to "normal" equilibrium within at least a couple of centuries.
