Generally speaking that isn't possible. What we need to do is make peace with the moderates, and have them point out the extreemists to us.

Which ones? What kind of peace? On what basis? What about extremists in the West? Doesn't real peace take two sides willing to negotiate?

There should be at least a dialog.How can one know how to solve problems without discussion.That is called diplomacy.Plus there is all sorts of extremists in all countries for a myriad of reasons.Even people that blow up abortion clinics because they are against abortions could be considered extremists.

There can be no peace with extremist who are determined to conquer the world and force their religion and laws upon you. Who believe they will get 42 female slaves if they die in the battle to subdue and conquer you. There is no compromise in their belief system. You are an infidel and must die. Anyone who thinks talking with them will do anything but give them a chance to stall and get an advantage in order to get their way in the end is crazy. Humanity has a right to defend themselves. Get your head out of the sand, the danger will not go away.

It's possible. The French made peace with Hitler. I just don't know how they lived with that decision.

Radical Islam will not go away, until like the moderate communist, the moderate Muslims decide their best interest lies with the rest of humanity and not Radical Islam. I don't see this happening so far. Also, like the Nazis they must be totally destroyed.
