Actually, I'm still waiting! Good genes I guess....

I found one at 33 just above my right ear. I denied it was grey to my friend and yelled NO! its blonde,................. but it was grey OK. Looking at the positive side, at least I have hair to go grey.

Motoarena's right. I started thinning beofre I found my first grey hair. It was (please don't be grossed out) on my chest and my wife teased me remorselessly about it. Whoever says that going grey isn't sore doesn't have a partner who thinks it's fun to pull out the grey hairs from their body.

Not got there yet, and when the time comes I will still not find them . I shall just colour them
-
16 or 17. I didn't really care so much, and I still don't! I colored my hair for a while, mainly to cover up the gray, but nowadays I just go natural. I get a lot of comments about it, but it doesn't really bother me.

a few strange greys showed up in high school in my bangs. I liked it... I could buy beer!! Then they went away. Next time was late 20's. Still didn't care. But, lately, they ate starting to creep in. AUGH! I refuse to color my hair!

A few weeks ago (I am 21). I was looking in my rearview mirror in my car, and I caught a hint of a different colored streak in my hair. Upon further investigation, I saw that it was a little shimmering silver hair. I feel like I'm a little young, but I know plenty of people who started greying before they turned 18 so I really don't feel too badly.

16. I have not found any grey hairs but I have found white. I have had 3 white hairs for the last three years and I don't really care. I don't spend enough time looking in a mirror to notice. The only reason I know they are there is that my dad told me. I will never dye my hair no matter how many grey or white hairs I have.

I was lucky. I didn't really see any til about age 46-47. At age 55+ I still have only maybe 20% gray hair. I saw it in my beard when I was about 3-4 years younger. I didn't think anything about it as I recall.
-
I haven't found one yet, but then again, I ain't lookin' for them. I take great delight in teasing my younger sisters about their gray hair, which doesn't have to be looked for, it is in plain sight.
-
I have discovered that I have a small gathering (6 to 10) gray hairs in the front of my head. They will stay there...Ive earned them.
-
I think I saw my first gray hair when I was 12 or 13. My friend found it so I was kind of embarrassed... then a little upset inside I thought it was going to turn gray in no time, but it didn't. I usually see a new gray hair or two once a year since then.

Late 30's, it was and is no big deal.

I was in my early 20's when I found my first grey hair. After that, they started to sprout regularly. It runs in my family that the women get early greys. My mom's hair was a beautiful silver white. However, I didn't want grey hair in my 20's, so my daughters would pluck them out and save them up until they had enough to make wigs and hairpieces for their Barbie dolls. How's that for an innovative use for grey hairs? Now I have half and half grey hair, but I color it once a month. It got to the point where if I pulled out any more greys, I would be bald. I hate grey hair on me, since my skin is fair and it makes me look pale and washed out. If I had silver hair and blue eyes like my mom, I wouldn't care, but my grey just looks dull. When I color it, it's bright and shiny and looks healthy. I use both Revlon and Clairol products that have shine built in to the color. That's more than you ever wanted to know about grey hair, isn't it? LOL!

I actually found my first one when I was about 12 or 13. I didn't find another for a good many years tho.
-
My first grey hair was found on the first sunday of this Feb. My best friend was curling my hair for me and found it! She pulled it out and showed it to me too! I just couldnt believe it. It was wavey and my hair is straight and it was coarse and my hair is fine in texture! Amazing..hahaha I'm 36.
-
My late 20s or early 30s. Now in my 40s I am mostly grey. I don't mind it, I think it looks kind of distinguished.
-
On my 23rd birthday--no kidding. I cursed my dad, plucked them out, and mumbled something about looking like freaking Bonnie Rait (I am a redhead and the offending hairs right in front where I part my hair) My dad started going gray when he was 16 and my mom has almost none to this day (she's in her 50s).
-
I was 16. Still have all my hair and well salt and peppered 27 years later. I really didn't care at the time, still don't.
-
46. it's about time.
-
Thirteen. My daughters first grey hair was at age 11. :)
-
Are you kiddin ? I have wanted grey hair since I was 12,and at 40 its just once in a while, I even tried to find grey hair dye,but nooo , only stuff to hide em ,what up wit dat ?
-
No grey in sight yet. I remember, when my mother was about 35 and the first few grey hairs started appearing, she used to pull them out! Anyway, when the time comes that I turn grey, I think I can live with it. Not sure if I'd bother dyeing my hair because some shades of grey are actually very nice.
-
it is inevitable -- brace yourself.
-
16. I didn't panic, freak out or worry. It is what it is. Isn't gray hair better than no hair? :)
-
I started getting grey hairs when I was in my twenties. I'm nearly 40 now, and I just have kind of a stripe of grey at the front. Most people think I did it on purpose, so that's good!
-
I was about 20ish when I started getting gray hair. I'm about 50% gray now and I am 40. It beats getting bald. :)
-
You know what they say about time...it is unforgiving! I was told once that men with white hair are "interesting" while women with white hair are just old. Of course, it was a man who said it.
-
Some people go grey young. Look at it this way - at least you aren't going bald young! That happens often as not too. I do have an uncle who started going grey around the same age as you, but he still has his hair.
