Help answer this question below.

I recieved a tulip as a gift, but I'm in college and I can't transplant it outdoors. Can I grow it in a sunny window?

    Two choices. Dump it or try and grow it. Keep it in the pot and water and fertilize heavily. Keep in full sun so it can store energy. By midsummer it will fade. Let it dry a bit and keep in a cool, dark place. water occasionally. When it starts to grow again, bring it out and water more.
    I would dump it unless you have lots of room. Its a lot of effort for a short bloom.

    Yes.You can plant it in a pot and it will sprout.I have them in my garden.After they bloom and the leaves turn brown,I will cut them back to ground level and they'll come up the following year.Some people dig the bulbs up and store them in a dry cool,place to over -winter and then plant again :)
