  • Bowling or playing pool.
  • volunteer at a nursing home, after school things and just play board games, etc. hanging out with different age groups than yourself will open up new hobbys and you will def. be hanging out with fun new people!
  • I found genealogy to be as, if not more, addicting as AB, and VERY time-consuming, if you have the time. Research your family, your siblings' spouses' families, your cousins' families, etc. For most, if you can get back to before 1930, you can use Ancestry and other sites. Ancestry, while it costs for a subscription, you should be able to find enough info to know if you're that interested. (Ancestry has indexes and images of a LOT of stuff, like census records, WWI and WWII Draft records, Civil War records, books with biographies, etc., that requires a subscription to get to, but you can usually find other researcher's information, though you should probably use more than one, so you can "verify" it. As you get into it, you will want to "prove" a lot on your own, and may get into local history, become a graveyard photographer (family members and more, including others for other people), finding records about your (and others') families at courthouses, health departments, etc.) Like I said... It can become as, if not more, addicting than AB! ;-)
