Hey Cowboy...Yeah. I just had to get another one... I bought an after market universal one..a Targus...
Cheap, cheap, cheap!!! Just wait until you have to get a new battery...
When I use my laptop where I have 110v power I take out the battery. I heard that is supposed to make them last longer
I've had laptops for decades and usually have multiple factory chargers. Have never had any problem except for a Dell factory recall/replacement.
Over heating is a major issue. I went through 4+ chargers. Now my Laptop doesn't work at all. My sister takes my laptop and plays on her bed. It burns up inside and I think it fried the part where you put in the powercord. It is useless now. The cords are a delicate piece.
I have seen 50 or so laptops in my career, never seen one go bad.
I've had to replace chargers before and bought the replacements on ebay. Much cheaper than radio shack.

You're reading Anyone else have problems with laptop chargers? My two daughters have gone through 4 in the last 18 months. Are these things really that delicate? I just had to go Radio Shack and buy 2 @ $108 each. Ouch.

I know you are supposed to let the battery cycle rather than keep it 100% charged. I have them do that. Those chargers just seem so sturdy I don't know what they are doing to them to make them fail. I've never had a problem with my work laptop charger.

Have they cleaned the fan vents on the lap top. I always put the charger on a flat surface, not on a carpet, so it doesn't overheat, same with the laptop...

They sit on the bed to use their laptops, with the cord strung back to the wall plug. My wife thinks the cords/chargers are getting stepped on, kinked, something. We bought them trays but they don't use them, the laptops sit on the bed.
