Winter Driving? What was the longest it ever took you to get home during a winter snowstorm? I once spent 7 hours trying to get home, a 53 mile one way commute.

Snow - Fifty minutes for a 16 mile drive. I know how to countersteer and know the route well enough that I only have to worry about rear-ending other cars.

Rain - Three hours. The normal route was washed out, the alternate route was long and when I awoke the next morning, both roads were totally gone as was my road and a hunk of my driveway. Sheets of rain and many inches of mud pose many of the same traction and visibility problems as winter driving ;)

You and I must have been on the same commute! 6 hours, 50 minutes to go 49 miles.
