Something I keep seeing a lot now days & just wanted to know why the change. I see the term Woman used a lot now days in places where there are more than one. What ever happen to the term Women, as meaning more than one?

The proper word for more than one woman is women. I see that word all the time. Would be curious to see an example of the places where you're seeing this other usage. I'm thinking it could be used to symbolize one woman representing many.

M.C.S I think in todays world folks just get in a hurry and our grammar is not as good as it should be, people do not always take the time to use the proper words for certain things. It probably is not on purpose most times just a slip of the tongue or finger in our case here and our children don't seem to care many times about proper use of grammar at all with their use of text, and slang etc. Life is way to fast some times and grammar,etiquette etc just isn't that important.

The word "woman" is used when writing about one woman. The word "women" is used when writing about more than one woman. Some people just don't have it right when they write.

The word 'woman' can be used as a collective noun for all women, just as 'man' can be used as a collective noun for all men. Darwin wrote a book entitled 'Descent of man' meaning 'The descent of mankind', and a feminist like my grandmother would ask 'What about womankind?' Think of 'woman' as just a shorter version of 'womankind'; that is how 'woman' can be used grammatically to refer to women in general; it doesn't necessarily imply that every time the singular form is used when the plural form seems logical that the number of the noun is correct.

I have not seen that terminology used that way either , and with me being a woman and a good speller it would have gotten my attention LOL,,, maybe they are misled in how to spell or they just could care less how they spell things, but yea you are correct woman is one of us ladies and women are two or more than one of us LOL,,,SO whoever is not spelling correctly ,, take note !!( or just sit there and say 'whatever') LOL,,,
