    Well, pants cover your legs from waist to ankle, wrapping around each leg. A dress on the other hand is open from the bottom so a breeze can blow up it onto the legs and... other parts. Does that make sense?

    She was wearing a dress and she was climbing a ladder with Eragon looking up from underneath. That's why she wanted Eragon to go first.
