Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord (4-door). After about 20 minutes of driving the brake indicator comes on, and then goes off after about 30 minutes of driving. Breaks work fine and brake fluid is ok. It is -20C out - could it just be cold?

There's a float and a sensor in the brake fluid reservoir. Have you checked the level in it lately?

Cold weather causes the fluid to contract, dropping the float and activating the "low fluid" sensor.

After the engine heats up the compartment and use of the brakes heats up the brake fluid, it expands, bringing it back to normal level.
