When I go camping, I take a tent. Does anyone else enjoy tent camping?

    I've been camping in France in my time, and it has to be one fo the best things we did as a family.

    i've stayed in a 5 man tent, surrounded by tropical flowers :) in the middle of a field next to cows and sheep! and the stars at night in the south of France are just spectacular!!!

    I was an avid backpacker for many years. I loved to backpack way out into the middle of nowhere, set up my little camp, and just be alone with my thoughts for days on end.

    Either take a tent or sleep in the bed of the truck. Last time we went camping we just laid down a layer of blankets and slept under the stars.

    The last time I camped in a tent I was 8. It rained horribly and my mommy came and picked me up the very first morning.

    The last time I camped (at all)we stayed in a bike trailer.

    I prefer the RV, actually. I have spent my last night in a tent, that's for darn sure!

    We used to backpack 2-4 times each year until I developed back problems. But we still often camp from our car and sleep in a tent unless we're in an RV. I like the simplicity of a tent.

    Yes. I love it. It is is cold I take a tent, but camping just in a sleeping bag is great too.

    I do, but my back doesn't. We are older and my husband retired so we have an RV. I like a lot of the conveniences an rv offers but I don't spend a lot of time inside because I like the outdoors. My husband hosts a small campground up at a lake, three days a week from May-Nov. and fishes... I take care of the grand kids that we are raising, otherwise I would be there because I like to fish.

    I love to camp in a tent. I love sleeping in an open leanto even more. If the weather is good and I am not in a valley where heavy dew is expected, I love to sleep under the stars.
