You're reading When one person calls another of the same race brother or sister but does not direct the same expression to another race in the same way ..is this color/race segregation and does this constitute a racist remark? ..(I am not a racist & no offense intended)

I seem to notice black people without spiritual development using this expression towards each other, but never refering to a white person as brother or sister? Is it because they are not black or because they are white?

I don't know the cultural attitude well enough to say for sure. And I wouldn't say they "lack spiritual development" in an absolute sense. It's more of a generalization -- as spiritual development progresses, the tendency to define oneself by group association decreases. It's not an absolute black or white principle, to throw in a pun! :-)
