Help answer this question below.
First I tried my hand at what I thought were thought provoking questions. I failed to provoke any thought.
Then I tried answering questions that provoked my thought.
I got a curt 'thank you' instead of the discussion I expected.
Now I ask questions only where I need information.
Now I answer no matter whether the questioner gives a thought to take a look at my answer or not.
AB has become sort of a daily routine habit sort of thing.
I think the same has happened to most people asking questions too.
Its more fun browsing through the old questions and answers than spending too much time in current participation, in my opinion.
I asked questions when I needed an answer...so neither I suppose.
Both :)
A mixture of both is best, but I tend to go with the fun stuff. You are doing well with yours, keep it up !! :)
I'm usually seeking information, but think sometimes I should lighten up and have more fun on AB. I joined Sillyville to do that. I must say those people are fun to talk to, The best part of AB is making friends and all subjects are relative as far as I'm concerned.
I try to do both...mostly I ask fun questions.
A little of both
Oh I am a huge thought provoker. Just look up my questions and answer all of them and see for yourself. Make sure to give me the maximum amount of points for each too. Now go ahead and get busy, okay?
A little of each.
A mixture of those!
Fun, understandable and knowledgeable
I ask both kinds!
usually to get an answer or an opinion
George I love your questions,
I do some of both :)

You're reading Do you ask questions on AB that are relative and provoke thought or do you just ask questions that are fun?
Comments
Yes, that would be correct.
Personally, when I reading the newspaper, watching the news, etc., those things provoke thoughts and base a lot of my questions based on that. Just posted one on all the money spent on promoting the change to digital and got shot down by some poster that has the Soviet Union as their residence.
Anyway, have a great day! +5
Oh, the thing that concerned me, would like for every poster to know that they are more than just a few points. Some are ALL of the points only. They could care less about the person....that bothers me..very little...loll..

That bothers me too. Thats why I take care selecting questions to answer. I have some points chasers in my friends list but I answer only the best of their questions and flag the rest. While chasing points they forget to put their questions in the appropriate category.
But I have built up a few very good friendships here in the Answerbag with like minded thinking persons. There are many extremely knowledgeable people here as members.
So the Answerbag will survive and won't go to dogs like many other sites which I would not care to name.
Thanks for asking a good question, George.
