pro-active made my face explode with acne.
i should have just went to my dermatologist in the first place.
I'm currently useing clean and clear. I started it just 3 days ago and already see results. I've been on prescription medication for acne before with varying results, nothing really worked without irritating my skin to the point of looking like I had a severe sunburn. So far, with Clean and Clear, I have had no irritation, no redness, and my acne has dissapeared slmost instantly.
One other side note: I take zinc to help with my skin, it works, it prevents the cystic acne and the acne I do get is less severe. I take 50mg/day. I reconmend this for any one with acne. The zinc also boosts your immune system. The zinc was reconmended by a physician and is available over the counter
I use Proactive and love it. I've been using it for about 6 mo. now and wish it had been available years ago. I'm 36 and have had issues with acne all my life. Oily, red, blotchy skin. All gone now. I highly recommend it.
well clean and clear worked for me just make sure you dont stop using it after it starts to work
Pro Active works great for me. Cleared my acne up pretty well and it isn't all that expensive compared to prescription medicine.
he gave me Accutane and those pills worked WONDERS. my acne was gone within 2 weeks. POOF. like that. i still had a few little dark spots from where thay scarred, and he gave me Differin. i still have a few but he says they will clear up if i keep up with the pills and the differin.
I tried proactiv and the first few days my acne got worse. I have never had really bad acne and my face is neither oily nor dry. I didn't like the proactiv except for the sunscreen/lotion because it made my face really soft. Clean & clear worked way better for me. My face was really soft just after the first day of using it. I do get a fees zits once in awhile but they are small, easily covered up, and cleared up way faster than if I hadn't used anything. I love clean & clear but I was underwhelmed by proactiv. I hope this helps!
Both work. Proactive shows acne worse in the first few days because that's how it works. It releases all the impurities in your skin before it can cleanse it. Don't give up. I've used both but prefer clean & clear cause of the price.
Hello again, just thought I'd say something else. the Proactive also has a huge line of products, like make-up, facial scrubs, masks that don't seem to help much, the toner, and the regular face wash, plus this moisturizer that seems to just tighten your skin in a way so that it feels dry but wont get ashy, and some sunblock that doesn't work but does a better job of moisturizing. So, you have this 3 step regimen to go through morning and night, that takes awhile to start working, but DOES work. So, like I said, if you don't mind the side-effects, try it, just don't mess up and forget it before bed or as you rush out of the door in the morning or you will start from scratch.
Clean and Clear: I love it! I used it for a few weeks and have seen positive results. Also it is great on my skin. Proactive didn't seem to help me much.
