If I color my hair tonight with a box color, how long should i wait to do a box color of highlights? i'm dying it medium brown, which is what it is now, i'm just covering roots and a few missed spots. And the highlights are carmel

    At the beauty salon, they do it immediately afterward. If it is a touch-up color, they do the roots and highlights at the same time.

    If your hair isn't damaged, you can do it immediately. Make sure the hilite color is a bleach type and not a color. Color doesn't lift color well.

    Box colors from stores are meant for virgin hair. I would go to a beauty supply type place and ask them before you do anything.

    you should wait until it is healthy again so it doesnt damage your hair too much
