I shall soon find out. I just got released from the hospital for a mild stroke. I have all kinds of neat pills now.
I keep all of my meds in pill boxes and it has become so automatic for me to pick up the pill boxes at the times I take my meds I never forget.
family has them and theymake me take them...
im not in charge....
IF,I remember to take them in the AM I usually do,I will SOMETIMES remember to take them at night too...the new meds I am on aren't like the others as I forget a lot of times to take them at all,I was being doled out the meds for the first few weeks due to this situation but now I seem to be doing ok with it,,except I forget IF I have taken them sometimes as well...hope I get a routine down soon, maybe when I return to work!
I take them as soon as I wake in the morning.
I remind myself that I'm going to die if I don't take them. Maybe that's not such a bad thing.
I take my meds every night of my life upon going to bed. With the memory issues, even that isn't guaranteed.
I've been taking pills every day 4 so long it's just become normal 4 me. I keep them in a little AM/PM thing on top of my microwave & I do the same exact thing every morning. If you take em every day, I think it eventually becomes routine.
A little note or an alarm on my cell :)
- Well ...whenever I've been on any medication .
All my meds are out on my night stand and impossible to miss. I at least see them when I go to turn off my alarm. It's just my routine to take them first thing in the morning.
I keep one of those plastic 7-day pill boxes next to my bed, on my night stand, with a bottle of water
I have a pill container marked sunday to Saturday and every Sunday I fill it up for the week.I take mine first thing in the morning.
I take them as soon as I wake up, and just before I go to bed. When I took some that were necessary 3 times a day, I purchased on of those pill containers with a little space for morning, noon and night and I set my cellphone alarm for the times I needed to remember.
I need to take my diabetes pills regularly. But they are all after meals. So I just take the medicine after breakfast, lunch and dinner. That does it.
As for antidepressant drugs you mention, I have no idea.
Never had occasion to take any.
it is just automatic for me.i don't even think about it anymore.
Since I need to take mine with food, I just leave my pill container on the dinner table.
Maybe do it when you brush your teeth?;0)
I don't take any meds, but when I wake, the first thing I do is take a vitamin (B complex)... I guess that would be ritual.

You're reading What do you do to remind yourself to take your medication? Is there a ritual you follow to remember or a little note?
