Parents are way too defensive of their parenting skills. I believe in the old saying "it take a village to raise a child." If your kid is acting out and not listening to you, then maybe you do need advice from another parent on how to deal with this situation. The parents always say "Don't tell me how to raise my child." well obviously someone needs to because what you are doing is not working.
But at the same time, you need to be careful how you approach a parent. Most of the time you just come off as "That little brat, i would wear his butt out." you should be more subtle about it and probably wait until the drama has died down because in the heat of the amount, the parent is almost always likely to take it the wrong way. noone wants to be made to look like they dont know what they are doing.

I've been to dinners parties where a kid just sits on the floor huffy away from the other kids- the other parents usually gossip about it and the parents of the said brat always overhears..

I think just comparing the kid to others- like bringing them to a park and show how undisciplined they are would work.
