Have you ever volunteered to work somewhere and they refused to use you? How/what did you think?

    I used to be a volunteer coordinator at a humane society and had to tell people that we were full with volunteers and had no more room for them. I always sat down and talked to them instead of just blowing them off. While we had plenty of volunteers, we never had enough money, so some of these people meant donations for us down the road. I wanted to make them feel good when I told them that I could not use them.
