Help answer this question below.

What would you do to prevent having sex, or wanting a baby, as a teen?? what are would you suggest to someone who want to have a baby, but knows that they are way to young?

    i would say live your childhood now because you can be a mother anytime but you can only be a child once.

    having a kid is not that easy...not everyone these days are willing to help with kids...im 19 and i have a three year old and though i have my moms help, i've had to give up many things to become a good parent...i've had work really hard.

    its a nice feeling to be a mother, but most teenagers arent ready to give up their childhood and that is where the mistakes come in.

    I would avoid situations that would lead to sex. Being alone in a house with the opposite sex can lead to this more easily than say, being at the movies or a restaurant. Dont let the date touch you in inappropriate places thinking it'll only go that far and not farther. We are human, and humans are sexual beings. Even people who say and totally believe they will not have sex before marraige have fallen into situations they later regret because they werent more careful of where they were or what they were doing. Those hormones are VERY powerful! To someone who wants a baby but is too young... babysit. Make some money and get the baby fix that way. Best way I can think of.

    Killing them, lobotomizing them, or stripping away their humanity works. Those seem to be the approaches that most people try.

    Here is how I would handle it. I would show them how much a kid costs. Pre-natal care, delivery costs, care and feeding, etcetera. Show them how much they would need to earn, and how hard it is top earn that when you have to either stay home to take care of the little blighter or make MORE money to afford day-care/baby-sitters. Sure, their friends might look after the kids for free... or not.
    The threat of losing all of their free time and more money than they have, not being able to keep their cell-phone, etcetera is usually enough to scare most teens.

    Reasonable, unbiased discussion using rationality and reason usually works. Showing a moral judgment will be self-defeating; many teens I know would rebel and start screwing the next guy they see right in front of you out of spite.
