  • The effects of LSD are unpredictable. They depend on the amount taken; the user's personality, mood, and expectations; and the surroundings in which the drug is used. Usually, the user feels the first effects of the drug 30 to 90 minutes after taking it. The physical effects include dilated pupils, higher body temperature, increased heart rate and blood pressure, sweating, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, dry mouth, and tremors Sensations and feelings change much more dramatically than the physical signs. The user may feel several different emotions at once or swing rapidly from one emotion to another. If taken in a large enough dose, the drug produces delusions and visual hallucinations. The user's sense of time and self changes. Sensations may seem to "cross over," giving the user the feeling of hearing colors and seeing sounds. These changes can be frightening and can cause panic. Some LSD users experience severe, terrifying thoughts and feelings, fear of losing control, fear of insanity and death, and despair while using LSD. Some fatal accidents have occurred during states of LSD intoxication. Many LSD users experience flashbacks, recurrence of certain aspects of a person's experience, without the user having taken the drug again. A flashback occurs suddenly, often without warning, and may occur within a few days or more than a year after LSD use. Flashbacks usually occur in people who use hallucinogens chronically or have an underlying personality problem; however, otherwise healthy people who use LSD occasionally may also have flashbacks. Bad trips and flashbacks are only part of the risks of LSD use. LSD users may manifest relatively long-lasting psychoses, such as schizophrenia or severe depression. It is difficult to determine the extent and mechanism of the LSD involvement in these illnesses. http://www.psychoactive.org.uk/LSD/effects.htm its all on this website here. take a look and if you are thinking about having LSD it should put you off
  • Well, depending on the dosage.. With a high dosage, it can bring down the 'filters' in the brain, enabling you to 'hear' colour and 'taste' sound and so on... It enhances sound and makes colours seem more rich, vibrant and bright. It causes hallucinations- usually of moving patterns. It doesnt harm you're organs or body. It is a resonable safe drug, concidering you use it in the right location. An overdose is imossible, it is not toxic to the human body and it is impossible to become addicted aand It's ni-untracable! One drawback.. flashbacks. These can occur anytime after the original trip has worn off. They are basically memories of your LSD trip. Sort of, a part of the trip occuring again. This only happens with a few people but is untreatable.
  • This is your brain (==) This is your brain on LSD ^=-(*==*)-=^
  • nicole - i could not disagree more with your answer. LSD is an eye-opening, mind expanding, amazing drug that in my opinion everyone should try. I have dropped tabs probably 40 or 50 times and not once have I ever felt sick from it. If you think that the body high you get from it is a "sick" feeling than it's not for you but most people who use the drug enjoy the feeling you get from it. And as far as the trip goes generally speaking, if you go into it with a good mind-set and you are excited for the trip to start, you will have an awesome trip. It sounds to me like if you feel confused, worried, or insane that is because deep down you just don't trust the drug and think that it will make you the aforementioned things - although it won't. It also sounds like you don't like drugs very much - that being the case you just shouldn't do them. They are used for a reason, because people enjoy them. Anywho - LSD is not neurotoxic and has no after-effects. "Flashbacks" are a rumor in my opinion because I have used the drug a lot and never experienced one.
  • I have really been intrested in LSD lately I have been researching and asking around on how it feels what its like if its safe ect aznd so forth what I found was promising for my sake (: LSD from what my dealer has told me burns your brain a little which causes blood to trickle down your spine which causes you to trip thats why you hear people saying if you crack your back youll start to trip again or have flashbacks also the only way to be tested for it is to do a spinal tap which is illegal in many countries because it can kill you from what ive read its non toxic and relativly safe there has been no record of anyone ever dieing from the drug itself although there has been a case with an elaphant that OD ed on an extreme amount (Elaphants on Acid awesome book read it!) Also my friends have suggested that you be with someone for your own safety in case you have a bad trip or just try to do something stupid so essentialy the only thing you need to worry about is yourself I also read that you should not take it if you are on depressants because the main ingredient causes you to have a bad trip and possibly other dangerous side effects I hope this helped be safe and have fun XD
  • My neice took a lot of LSD when she was a flower child and was at Woodstock when that occured. Several years later she was killed in a car accident. The two people riding with her said they believed she had an LSD flash-back lost control of the car going under the tandom wheels of an 18wheeler. She died instantly. LSD can be and is very dangerous. I would not trust ever doing any drugs but never LSD. I have never done drugs and never plan on doing so.
  • I lost track of how many times I've tripped on LSD, X, mushrooms, etc. By summer of '94 I had taken about 250 hits, I was dealing acid then... I have had bad trips, always caused by outside influences, or I took it when I wasn't in a good mood. It amplifies emotions. Be with friends, be careful, have fun. Best, and cheapest drug there is out there.
  • Your brain dosent bleed onto your spine causing you to trip thats douesnt even make sense. LSD fries your brain causing it to struggle to catch up with itself. This is where the tracers and patterns come from, your brain repeats everything that you see in a spiral formation(which is quite beautiful i must say). LSD does cut down on the filters your brain sets up for reality, but those filters that are there for a good reason, when you take in the whole universe at once, its quite overwhelming. dont get me wrong i love acid, its just not for everyone. When you drop acid be prepared to see yourself for who you really are, cause you might not like what you find. obviously, most of you came up with your answers based off what youve read on the internet. you dont really "hear" colors or none of that. and flashbacks are very uncommon and very mild, your a fool to even worry about that. every now and then you might see something look kinda trippy if you stare at it in the right way but yeah, your not gonna understand tripping until youve actually done it.. its really not what youd expect it would be
  • dont drop LSD stay all natural Q===~ and smoke up:)
