IB-prophen OR rum. Take the IB-prophen as normal

But for the rum, try rubbing a bit on the offending tooth. After about 5 min, if it still hurts, ya need a dentist. If not, you're fine.

    brush, rince, and use cloves.
Cloves numb, dont eat them but you can crush them and put in a thin wet cloth to place on the tooth. There is also clove tea that will help too. I know this from bad teeth =)

I have been in a lot of pain since Monday with a back tooth that I cracked on a pretzel. I also have a horrible cold (could potentially be sinuses). I am hoping the pain is more from sinuses than my tooth. However, I have tried tons of ibuprofen and the pain remains with no sleep. I have taken 2400 mg since 2 this morning. Not all at once, 800 mg at a time. I have been taking ibuprofen at the same dose since Monday with no relief. Today I decided to heat up my mixture of 60 oz. distilled water, 1 dandellion root tea bag, 1 tbsp. of sugar free cranberry juice and 2 tbsp. of lemon juice. You can find the directions listed here: fitness-weight-loss.info/?p=43 Anyway, I drink about 16 oz. at a time throughout the whole day. The pain was so bad just to sip it at room temperature. I microwaved it for about 1 1/2 minutes. Not too hot because that will hurt too. I used a smaller microwave, so a larger (better) one might need just 45 sec. to a minute. Believe it or not, the pain has subsided drastically. Right now I don't even notice it and I have only had about 8 oz. of my tea. Here is the great part to it. The concoction I am drinking is a natural diuretic and should help you lose up to 5 lbs. in 7 days if you drink it daily. You can get the tea at any health food store. I don't think GNC has it though. I got mine at Whole Foods / Wild Oats. However, I needed someone to help me find it. Good luck! Tooth pain sucks. I will repost later and let you know how long this worked. Please take note, I DID NOT take 2400 mg of ibuprofen at the same time and do not recommend that. It can't help you to do that, it can only hurt you. I know the ibuprofen is not what helped, it might be contributing to it though.

If you are 21 or over, drink some liquor. I've heard of people swearing by, asprin dissolving on the tooth, putting vanilla extract on the tooth, putting some moistened tobacco on the tooth, swishing whiskey around in their mouth and taking some over the counter pain meds. Please see a dentist!

Gargling with warm water and salt helps a cavity that isnt TOO far gone... it helps when you have no clove or peppermint extract. IBU and acet. wear off before the bottle says you can take more.... this is a quick fix to carry you over to the next hour.

I think the best one is cloves and clove oil. Chew on the cloves or rub a little clove oil on your gums.

Please see a dentist but don't let them pressure you into having a root canal. If the tooth is that damaged, better to have it out.

I've heard that chewing up an Aspirin can be good.

If you put an aspirin directly on the tooth and let it dissolve it will help. The problem is you have to do it repeatedly. I did try anebesol and similar toothache products. Aspirin was my drug of choice. LOL Go see the dentist and get it taken care of. Your teeth cannot be replaced. :)
