  • What are you talking about, generator, starter, trolling motor, etc.? When you read anything low as you are getting, you have to short the leads together and get a lead reading to subtract from what you are reading. Reading .552 and subtract the leads reading to be more accurate.
  • I'm talking about an 1987 evinrude 150 engine on my boat.According to the specs it should read 450-600 ohms my meter is reading .552 The reason I ask this question is because I have checked other parts such as timer base on the engine and the specs for it is between 35 and 45 ohms and my meter reads 42.8.Im confused why the decimal is in front of the .552 and din't know if this meant half an ohm or 500
