How often do you wash your vehicle? Do you clean the door jam's? Under the hood? Do you wax it? Do you wax by hand or use a buffer? What is your favorite brand of cleaner/wax/polish?

I clean the door jams and under the hood. I dont wax though because my paint is gone. I clean it once a week.

I don't wash my cars. Most are oil undercoated and therefore can't go through a car wash, and my home water system (well) can't put out that much water.

I wash our 3 vehicles whenever I can. I try for once a week, but you know how life is... I clean the door jams every 20 or so washes. If you are careful you can keep them clean. under the hood is dangerous since you can cause electrical damage if you do it wrong, but I clean the seams, etc. I wax every 6 months or so, by hand, in my garage or driveway (depending on weather). I use ArmorAll for cleaning mostly, Eagle One NanoWax, and it's a polish/wax so I don't really use a polish. I'm very particular about keeping the cars clean though so I probably do more than most people. My garage is a detail shop:)

My husband has to threaten me and chase me out of the house to wash my car. It's just not a big thing for me, but when my car is really dirty, he gets on me about it.

We have a lot of Lithuanians and Polish guys here working in groups . They have taken over the forecourts of empty garages and do a car wash service valeting too. They are very fast , cheap and make a fantastic job of the cars inside and out. It would be a waste washing your own. In ten minutes about 5/6 of them swarm all over the car and it looks fantastic, wax too
