How can I convert a T-mobile V180 to Cingular?

    You have to unlock the phone from Tmobile, Ebay ($10) sells unlock codes or you can try to call Tmobile and tell them you need the phone to be unlocked. Onece you unlock the phone then you can use Cingular SIM card.

    Well, I inserted a Cingular SIM into the phone but it still identifies itself as a T-Mobile phone. I then took the phone to a Cingular store and they told me that they could not make it work as a Cingular phone.

    Does your cell phone have a Sim card? Look in the back under the battery. When you get a new phone they give you a card for it. Go to the Cingular store and see.
