Cannibalism?? There are laws about murdering people and about how one can "handle" a cadaver. I think those would pretty much cover it.

May I ask in what way you are going to tell the teacher in that, that the teacher was wrong? Did the teacher tell you, you could legally dine on a corpse, or did your teacher tell you, under no circumbstances can you eat the dead regardless? Like I had said earlier, due to that famouse plane crash, in the alps, the survivers had no choice but to eat the dead, so that they could survive, till being rescued. A movie was made about it and it is a true story. Now another movie you may like to watch, I think this one is fiction, (not true), and it was made in the 50's or 60's I think, B/W but a very interesting movie. It is called, The Lord of the Flies. It is about english kids being sent O/S from England to America? I think, which crashes on an island and the kids become savages, killing each other and I think from memory, cannabalisim happens, until they are rescued, good movie. But in reality, many stories, I believe are true, in olden days, when ships went belly up and the servivers on a life raft, had no choice but to eat the dying to survive before being rescued.

Strange question! Yes it is still illegal to eat a corpse regardless of how you uncovered a corpse in the first place. Only in the last two years, in Germany, a man advertised for another male whom wanted to die and be eaten. Some bloke answered the ad and agreed to all conditions. The German was charged and convicted after the deed was done. Then many years ago,a plane crashed in some snow covered alps killing some passengers. Due to the length of time it took rescuers to get to the plane crash, some of the survivers had eaten some parts of the deceased. They had no choice as it took over a week to be rescued. They were not charged, as if they hadn't done it, they too would have died in those condition.

Mate, I may have to say sorry to you, as I have been looking for the law myself on the net just to prove that there is a law. I am going to list a few web sites for you, that do state that cannabalism is illegal in most parts of the world, yet they do not state which countries. The web links are pretty revealing, so do not read these links before dinner. I hope for you and me that you have found an actual law against cannablism as I am sure there is such a law in the USA and most other countries. I know for a fact, that if you ate a body in Australia, you would be charged with interfearing with a corpse. Do you have a free legal advice web site in America, where you can ask? I am going to do what I can to find out for you, the true legal deff of this crime and get back to you. My email is, joblow25@hotmail.com , just so we can work on this together. Hope this helps!
