Singer Prelude sewing machine- bobbin winder won't spin. I push it over (to engage bobbin-winding mode) & needle starts to move (which isn't supposed to happen) & then it all freezes- motor makes a horrible buzzing noise. Any ideas how to fix this?

I will add here that I have cleaned everything- there is no thread stuck anywhere or anything like that, and it has also been oiled (to the best of my ability.) This just happened all of a sudden when I was in the middle of winding a bobbin- wasn't doing anything differently than any other time. Tried turning it off and on. Tried unplugging and plugging back in.

Apparently the needle (and hand wheel) aren't supposed to move at all when in bobbin-winding mode. However, like I said before, the needle does try to move for a few seconds when I first apply the foot pedal when in bobbin mode... and if I manually turn the hand wheel while it's in bobbin mode, it moves a bit, then gets stuck. Unless I move the hand wheel backwards, then it will move continuously, but makes a small clicking sound every now and then.... ?

I don't know, I'm just trying to give all of the information I can in hopes that it will help someone help me!
