To change it over is a lot of work starting with installing a clutch pedal/ cluch cylinder/ slave cylinder / hydrolic lines / manual transmission / a manual fly wheel / clutch kit / computer / manual radiator / and starter for a manual tranmission
Cost will depend on what shop or what you may be able to do on your own probably to be cheaper to find a car and buy it the way you want it really

Do you happen to know whether anyone sells a kit for this conversion?

no it isn;t a kit, you either need a parts car or you will have to buy everything individually :)

It really depends on where you get the parts and if you decide to do it yourself or pay somebody to do it.

At a good junkyard you could probably get all the parts you need for less than $500. If you have somebody else install it they will charge you an arm and a leg to find parts, then charge you tons of money for labor.
If you're not going to do it youself then it'd probably be cheaper just to buy a car with a 5-speed.

It might even be cheaper to convert it to electric drive and ditch the transmission entirely :)
