Yes. Dogs get headaches. A dog may get a headache for lots of the same reasons we do including sinus problems and allergies, migraines, and head injuries. My dog gets sinus headaches. I can tell because she scrunches up her eyes a certain way and she thrusts her head in to the palm of my hand, wanting her head, face and ears to be rubbed really hard. The vet advised me to give her 1/2 of a Benadryl tablet when she gets that way. It always works. They also sell homeopathic remedies for dog headaches in lots of pet stores and online. We know our dog has a headache when he stays close and makes faces with his eyes closed to noise or light. He will also go to the bed and stay there for hours. He likes warmth on his head when it hurts. He gets headaches when the weather changes, they seem to be similar to my barometic migraines. We give him 1/2 a benadryl during the day and a whole one at night. He can handle this much because he is a large dog and that is what our Vet prescribed. Please please, Make sure you talk to your vet before you give your dog/animal any type of medicine. They can have severe allergic reactions to meds just like humans.
