  • It's because you're not actually fully awake but in a 'lucid dreaming state', it's nothing to worry about. You need to try to breathe slowly, telling yourself that you're only dreaming and if you can relax back into sleep or just relax until yuou're fully awake you will avoid the panic etc.,
  • I often wake up at night in a panic state. Sounds like you are still in a daze from sleeping. I have nightmares that I do not remember when I wake up. I always wake up, though and scream out loud. Thankfully, I live alone and do not disturb others. I have been told there is nothing wrong with me. We all dream and that is normal. Dreams may or may not have meaning, however, the only way to get any real rest is in a dream state of mind. I am not a doctor, so I cannot diagnose you. I would just say that if YOU think something is wrong with you, you might want to get in touch with a sleep disorder specialist. It sure would not hurt anything. Good luck!
  • You might have a sleep disorder. Ask your doctor!
