Question

Help answer this question below.

How would you translate "I gave the girl water" "You(sing.) saild to the island" "We are builing a road" and "We will be poets" in to Latin? I'm learning latin but it seems we've skipped over english to latin translations, and these could be a base. ty.

    'puellae aquam dedi'
    'ad insulam navigavisti'
    'viam construimus'
    'poetae erimus'

I hope that's right. 'puellae' is dative singular, not gentive singular or nominative plural. I'm not sure if 'via' is the best word for a road but it's good enough.
