Most pain relievers say on the packaging that if you have persistent pain to visit a doctor. I think taking it daily is probably not wise over along period, you could be masking a problem that actually needs attention. I would visit the doctor if it is possible.

i have been told by doctor that it won't hurt but don't get carried away with it

Ibuprofen should be taken with food (not on an empty stomach). There have been reports of excessive Ibuprofen use being linked to stomach problems. It is a known irritant to the stomach lining (which is why it should not be taken on an empty stomach)

Ibuprofen is quite strong. Plz dont take such decisions on ur own based on what you read on the net. Take the time to visit a doc. Ibuprofen can have allergic reactions in some people. It can increase your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke. This risk will increase the longer you use ibuprofen. Take care.

Not if you like your stomach lining and liver. Please check with a doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

I would go and see my Dr about that. Some people are told to take it everyday and for others it can be dangerous. Only your DR is going to be able to tell you for sure, or even give you something better that may help you more. I wouldn't take it for more than 7 days.

As long as your stomach can handle it and you don't go overboard, (like taking 10 of them a day, and I do know a couple of people that do), then you will probably be okay. But, it is not intended to be taken that way. Do as everyone said and talk to your doctor, to make sure something serious isn't going on. My mother-in-law is prescribed ibuprofen every day for arthritus (sp* arthritis?). She also has to take nexium to protect her stomach somewhat from the irritation that the ibuprofen sometimes causes.

if it carries on you should see a dr, but it should be ok as a kind of temporary measure as long as you take it on a full stomach, cos else it could cause a stomach ulcer or bleeding or something like that.
