If you've pitched within the past 48 hours, ice it. If you haven't pitched in 48 hours, put heat on it. i.e. heat pack, warm compress, etc.

Maybe some heat cream and a rub would fix up your shoulder, unless you have pulled something.

Rest it for a couple days after you pitch. And strengthen it on other days. Light weight lifting. Stretching. Throwing lightly. Stay loose, but don't strain. And sleep on your back.

i always use a rocket arm pitching workout a few days before i pitch. i am only a freshman in high school but i pitch a lot for my tournament team and high school team. it has helped a lot in stamina and soreness level the days after. i would consider getting one of these. they are definatly worth the $30.

oh and in between innings wear a jacket when you come in the dugout. if your team has a long rally and you come back out to pitch it can strain your arm and it will hurt for about 4 days. Trust me its happened plenty of times.

    hopes this helps.

Ice and some anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, etc). Don't use heat unless it's been a couple days.

Usually I ice it for a while, then if that doesn't work I use Icy-hot, or something akin to that. It never full stops the soreness, just after time it goes away.

Take some aspirin and go to sleep with some icy hot on your shoulder.

Is it always sore? Where exactly is it sore? When does it get sore? Has it happened a lot recently? Always after pitching? Throwing? Other activities?

When your lead foot touches the ground, what position is your throwing arm elbow at?

    What's your warm-up like?
