About a year ago, my processor was having a bad contact with the socket. I feel like an idiot, because I took soooo long to realize it (if I remember correctly, took me around two weeks to finally remove and reinstall the processor, and that did the trick).

About 3 weeks ago when my laptop battery expanded causing the clicker to stick. I was unable to click on or off of anything. I took my laptop into the Mac store and got a replacement battery for free. Mac is the best, seriously.

Last week on the train - my battery went dead, it says on the box re-chargeable for 2.5hrs - charged the batteries & they lasted for 30 minutes. disappointing!

the last 2 weeks have been a nightmare, both home computers died and took out 3 hard drives between them . Still no idea's as to why this has happened but after countless hours of " fart arsing around " with them they have finally decided to run ... for how long who knows , just waiting on a couple of " rebuild packs " to come in the post .. so until then its fingers crossed
i have tried every combination i can think of- F1, F2, F3 etc. in order to get to bios in compaq presario xp- any other ideas? thanx
