    If some form of a god exists, and it created man, then man would be an awful mistake on the part of that being. On the other hand, we do know, as far as we can know anything, that humans exist, and that human ideas about a god or gods exist. And I think there are few mistakes humans have made that are worse than our ideas about God (or gods) and the nature of reality and ourselves.
