I have an acer 3660 i have done the alt and f10 but instead of getting the screen that asks me to set back to factory settings i get the reboot or safe mode screen neither of them work so i have been told i need a recovery cd what will i do with it

Before you go to all that trouble, ensure that you don't have a recovery partition already on that hard drive. Most vendors have a recovery partition nowa-days. That replaces the traditional recovery discs.
