I wholeheartedly agree with you, if they downgrade at least give an explanation!
-
I think they're bastards!
-
yeah...That's the way trolls go about the site, the only way you can avoid it is to write good answers and hope that you don't offend people. but now it's almost impossible!! lol
-
Most of the time, yes; they usually do it because they disagree with something you said, and got butthurt about it. Smart-ass answers don't really require an explanation when they get downrated, though, in my opinion.
-
Yes! Everyone has their own friendly neighborhood troll these days, but it's not so fun anymore!
-
yeah i would appreciate someone who will down rate me with an explanation rather than to think why you received that rate without reading any comment O.o maybe some are just for revenge or others are just plainly back stabbers..
-
Yes I do to. Just check out the question "Can vinigar clean meth out of your system?" I am at a negitive 7 no reason why. I think people forget that we are not rating on the way they would answer the question but we are rating on wether or not the answer was useful
-
yes I do, I have no problem with critics or not being agreed with but there should at least be a comment. I think that they just do not like the answer but have no valid arguement as to why.
-
It really all depends. I get your point. There are times that I have been downrated on my opinion and thought, "OK? You disagree. Why? How rude!" However, I have done the same to people that leave such immature, and abusive answers that I feel that to comment as to why is, quite frankly, not worth my time, because they were obviously doing it to get a rise out of someone. In other words, it *can* be cowardice, but it could also be a "nuff said" response.

I think people should say why they downrate you...and i also think people should consider your opinion. if you dont like a question and feel offended by it fine, but if you dont like an answer i dont think people should get downrated for that, just dont give points i mean its an opinion. i also dont agree to downrate for the heck of it...its really wrong.

I disagree. Sometimes I do not leave a comment with a downrate anymore. I do it because if I comment, I subject myself to retalitory downrates on many of my questions and answers.

If it is "obvious" why an answer is "not helpful", I will rate it down without leaving feedback. When someone asks what the history of the postage stamp is and another person answers "I like noodles" or "The Post Office is Evil", I rate them down and I don't feel any need to explain that. But if it is simply a matter of my disagreeing with someone, I don't rate them down. I either just pass their answer over or discuss it with them through the comments section. Also, I do think a some people will rate all the answers above their down in order to push their own answer up. Very petty. They don't leave comments because their is no justification for that.
