My cats aren't fat. They're fluffy.
Not in denial - we KNOW we have a FatCat! Her name is Jenni and she'd have a go at me if she knew I was telling on her. She has had an eating disorder since we got a couple of kittens just over 3 YEARS ago. She hated them, but has learned to tolerate them - merely growling the place down if they should glance her way. We've just gone and made it worse by keeping 2 kittens from a stray litter - they're now 4 months old and know to stay away from GrumpyPants.
My husbands cat, Neko, is HUGE! And eats pretty much anything. I tell him Neko is reaching a unhealthy weight, but he's really in denial about it.
But that cat is an indoor/outdoor cat, so i imagine he has other homes that feed him u.u

You're reading My partner and I keep being told that our cat is fat; we believe he is just a beautiful, big ball of fluff and loveliness. Who else is in fat denial about their pet?

Amen! Most times when you lift a fat-looking cat, (s)he's ALL FLUFF!

Fluff can be very, very heavy sometimes. Also, scales deceiving.
