When I was 13, I had painful plantar warts on my feet. I cut my foot one day and soaked it in warm water and Epson Salts. I did this for about 3-4 days; the warts dried up and the wart root/seed core popped out.

Haven't had anymore ever since. Other family members have tried this and it works!

In my experience, plantar warts look like firm raised bumps with a rough surface, covered in little black or grey dots. When they're on the soles of your feet or anywhere that receives significant pressure, they can REALLY hurt. Sometimes you just get one round one, sometimes they spread into little families (like mine did).
I found that diligent application of a product specifically for plantar warts (should be in any drugstore, and they're about $30 a tube here) works fine. If you don't see any improvement after, say, 6 months of use (they're tough little things), beg a dermatologist!
