Can you Disolve Clonazepam under your tounge, And get the same effect? or better? Also what if I chew it up and swallow it? whats better?

    Clonazepam comes in many different ways.
    One type of it that can be dissolved under the tongue is called:
    Generic Name: Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets (kloe-NA-ze-pam)
    Brand Name: Klonopin Wafer

    it's used for the following conditions:
    Controlling certain types of seizures in the treatment of epilepsy. It is also used for the treatment of panic disorders.

    Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the activity of a naturally occurring chemical in the brain.

    Do NOT use Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets if:
    * you are allergic to any ingredient in Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets or other benzodiazepines
    * you have acute angle-closure glaucoma or severe liver disease
    * you are taking sodium oxybate (GHB)

    Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

    Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

    * Disulfiram, kava, nefazodone, or omeprazole because they may increase the risk of Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets's side effects
    * Sodium oxybate (GHB) because an increase in sleep duration and a decrease in the ability to breathe may occur
    * Clozapine because dangerous side effects, such as confusion, sedation, excess salivation, unsteady movements, lightheadedness (especially upon standing), difficult or slow breathing, or drowsiness leading to unresponsiveness or coma, may occur
    * Rifampin, St. John's wort, or valproic acid because they may decrease Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets's effectiveness
    * Digoxin, kava, or valproic acid because the risk of their side effects may be increased by Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets
    * Nondepolarizing muscle relaxants (eg, tubocurarine) because the risk of their side effects may be increased or decreased by Clonazepam Orally Disintegrating Tablets
    * Paroxetine or tricyclic antidepressants (eg, amitriptyline) because side effects, including restlessness, fever, excessive sweating, confusion, twitching, and seizures, which can rarely be life-threatening, may occur
