If you boil eggs you use water. If you are frying them you use grease.

i usually use water, but grease gets a bit more flavor. overall, water works best for me.

I've absolutely never heard of boiling them in oil. I've always used water.

put your eggs in water and put on med heat until the water comes to a rapid boil. Turn heat off and let your eggs sit in the water for about 15 minutes and your yolks will be very yellow. If you continue to let it boil until it is done the yolks are pale. :)
