You could always take your own photos. Go to a bar.
It is important to not rely on stock photography; it makes you a worse designer.
Anyway, using your own photos will make you feel more invested in the project, and please the client that you took it the extra mile.
Probably the most inexpensive site with quality photos is iStock.
istock or corbis has loads, but they are usually quite expensive.
Try looking on Flickr - lots of royalty free images there, often with creative commons licenses. To use, you just usually need permission and naught else!
There are some royalty-free stock photo sharing sites. You become a member -- add some of your own stuff and in turn are able to download other members' photographs. Point system.
the company iBID has some really amazing black and white photography. What is amazing is the photography is of realy everyday people who don't look like models. I've never priced their images but it's worth looking into. good luck.
Please advise me urls of really exceptional web design galleries

You're reading I'm looking for a stock photo website where I can by classic/retro black and white images of people (particularly people drinking). I've looked everywhere to no avail. The client's budget is not huge so it can't be too expensive. Please help!
