Depends on who I'm listening to.
There are some bands/artists that I can take three or four hours of before I get tired of it.
(Bob Dylan, Michelle Shocked, REM, The Kinks, X.)

And there are some that I like, but only really want to hear once every few weeks.
(Crowded House, Green Day, English Beat, Sonic Youth.)

It really depends on who it is.

Some songs you can listen to forever...like I still listen to "Confessions" by Usher. But usually if I like the song, I'll get tired by the the 20th time...(Sexy Back)

If the songs i listen to at 18 years old still make me shiver with glee when i'm 30, well thats a beautiful thing:p

I don't think theres a limit on a true artist and their music. As long as the respect is there.

Look at the diehard Rolling Stones fans!
